Job Overview
MakerGhat is seeking a motivated and organized Maker Educator (2+ Years of Experience) to oversee the smooth functioning of our maker spaces in Nashik and lead operational aspects of our hands-on education programs. This position involves managing day-to-day maker space activities, ensuring effective program delivery, and coordinating classroom observations across multiple schools. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in maker education, a passion for hands-on learning, and solid experience in program management and operations.
The role will be based out of Nashik and the individual should be proficient in Marathi. The work will involve frequent travel to the field to oversee program implementation and foster external collaborations, as well as regular interaction with teachers and students both online and offline.

CTC: INR 3 to 4 L (based on experience and quality of work)
Responsibilities and Duties
Makerspace Management
Oversee day-to-day maker space activities and operations, ensuring an engaging, safe, and efficient learning environment. Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory, ensuring timely procurement of supplies for ongoing projects and workshops. Train facilitators and students in the proper handling of equipment to maintain safety protocols.
Workshops & Training Facilitation
Lead and facilitate workshops on design thinking, rapid prototyping, electronics, and innovation for students and educators. Support training programs for facilitators and staff, focusing on hands-on skills, prototyping, and the safe use of equipment.
Program Operations Management
Conduct regular classroom observations to assess student engagement, teacher participation, and the integration of maker activities into school curricula. Coordinate with facilitators, teachers, and school administrators to ensure smooth delivery of hands-on learning programs. Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the maker space programs, collecting data through observations, surveys, and student feedback to inform program improvements.
Partnership & Collaboration
Build and manage partnerships with government departments, schools, industry professionals, and other educational institutions to enhance the reach and impact of the maker education program. Collaborate with the program design team to introduce innovative ideas and optimize the learning experience for students.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, education, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in maker space management, education, or program operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools (3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters) and platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and IoT.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Other Requirements: Passion for education, hands-on learning, and the ability to multitask while managing a dynamic maker space environment.
